We drove today to Castlegar via Pass Creek Road – a pretty winding country road that was much more enjoyable than the “usual” highway. However – the trip turned out not as planned. I didn’t find the things I needed at Canadian Tire and then we got a slow leak in the tire and had to get the tire patched – so instead of a dog walk in a park we did one through a horrible new subdivision – but got out anyway – and, as a bonus, the road we walked on was uphill all the way.
Then lunch, a nap and that’s it. I am trying very hard (and so far unsuccessfully) not to be annoyed.
But there it is. Today I am annoyed and lethargic and feeling grotty. Thankfully it’s a hiking day tomorrow. – although the late start on these hikes annoys me too. (sigh). But hiking again Monday with an early start! (yay!) and again on Thursday. The main thing to focus on is getting out there and having a good time hiking.
And getting myself un-annoyed.
On a more positive (!) note, Simon and I did have fun this morning. He’s so silly. I’m so normal. You read it here first.
