Today was a “getting out” day. So a drive north of Kaslo, back to Davis Creek and a hike with the dogs to the top. From there we continued until we hit snow – we probably gained another 50 metres or so, then turned back and had lunch at the lookout. It was warm. Yay!
Back down at the bottom, we drove To Kaslo and all the way to Nelson to stop at the pet supply store. The drive was the first one I’ve had where it felt like summer. The only snow I could see was high up in the mountains and the temperature hit eighteen degrees in Nelson. It was sunny and warm with a summer quality in the air.
In Nelson people were walking around in T-shirts.
Then off home and got back at about 4.30 to a warm house, a hot bath and a husband who’d been working all day with a weed whacker and wood chipper. He is transforming this wild yard into something very presentable.
