Glimmerings of Spring

None of these photos are prize winners – far from it. But, if you look closely, you’ll see why I took them. No Snow!!!

Yes, there was still snow on the higher part of the trail and yes, there was the odd icy patch, but for the most part today I walked on actual earth.

I could say it felt good but that would be a wild understatement. My feet practically danced over the earth.

Going back uphill, I almost ran. I have to say one thing for all the snowshoeing this year (and it’s not over yet) – it has built some killer leg muscles. Bring on the hills!

Simon is still working on windows and the transformation is dramatic to say the least. Photos to come when it’s all done.

I am working mostly on writing. On average, I’m getting 8 – 10 pages a day done. Who knows where it will all lead. At the moment, I don’t care. I’m just getting through life one step at a time.

I love the feeling of going on earth after a long winter 😊 but we have at least a few days left before I can do it again. The garden and the town are free from snow but the forest not quite yet. Maybe this weekend? Enjoy it Goody!
