Snow OMG!

p1020034_fotor This afternoon we had the brilliant idea to hike up to Payne Bluffs near Sandon.

Needless to say, we had to break trail – through snow that was three to four feet deep!

Let me tell you how that went. Um – slowly. We took turns breaking trail, the puppies, wisely following behind. Yes, it was slow going and very hard work – but I love working my body hard. And now, after a hot bath, it feels so good.

We were aiming for the top and I know we made it more than half-way – but then the snow started falling again and, given the forecast, we chose to turn around before the roads became a true mess. Not that they were magnificent to start with mind you. We got to town and hit up the market, laying in a good stock of food.

We both have the very strong feeling that there will be no getting out there tomorrow. Possibly not the next day either.

So – today was a snowshoe day! Hurrah!

Tomorrow will be a baking day. Seems about right.p1020035_fotor p1020037_fotor p1020041_fotor p1020042_fotor p1020043_fotor p1020044_fotor p1020046_fotor p1020047_fotor p1020048_fotor p1020049_fotor p1020050_fotor
