Fog – with the addition of rain

p1010062_fotor Welcome to your daily gloomy weather forecast, or as one of my friends noted today, “You think it’s bad where you are!?”

Right – at least today we are having some rain as well as fog.

Regardless, I took the pups on another new trail today – a few minutes from the house. As I said to Simon when we got back, it is probably one of the prettiest if not THE prettiest non-alpine trail I have hiked on. And it’s a very nice short hike, maybe 90 minutes or so up and down through beautiful forest, moss-covered rocks, between cliffs and mostly on top of high cliffs looking down on Slocan Lake. Viewpoints stretch out everywhere and today, due to the weather, we were the only ones there.

New ambition: hike the trail on a drier day so I can take the million photographs it deserves. Another bonus – it’s uphill both ways.

My biggest dilemma now is whether or not to bake bread this afternoon. There’s a bit left of the old bread but not enough for both dinner and sandwiches tomorrow, and I will certainly need a sandwich for my hike with Vida.

I know – first world problems.

I think I will bake.

But first I want to assemble my new pot rack delivered today from Amazon. And we hung our downstairs pictures yesterday. Looking pretty good!
