However, one eats the elephant one bite at a time. That’s all you can do.
Today – less nausea, a bit less sleeping, actually eating a bit. To compensate for this swell of well felling, my back decided to go out. Keeps you humble.
Still, after lying around most of the day, I actually got into the car late this afternoon and drove to the grocery store. There! I accomplished something!
We also had our first fire in the wood stove. There is absolutely nothing like a wood fire to warm a house. It’s toasty. And when the smoke alarms went off – oh well. The only disconcerting thing about that was that the siren-like beep also had a voice shrieking “Fire! Fire!” Really? Is that necessary?
I ordered a curtain for the kitchen cabinet today. Nancy will be thrilled to hear that I found an actual curtain, not fabric that needs to be sewed into a curtain. This means that Cathy does not have to add “sew a curtain for Goody” to her list of projects. Cathy and Nancy dropped by today – awesome to see them! Wish I’d had more life in me.
Speaking of which, I think I have officially run out – the couch calls.
