Pulpit Rock and beyond

P1000392_Fotor Today was the day I recovered some (of not all) of my equilibrium. The formula was simple: hike up a damned mountain!.

And so Simon dropped me off at Cathy and Nancy’s place and we hiked up Pulpit Rock, the local version of the Grouse Grind, and beyond. From there we headed to the flagpole and then on to the CBC Tower that tops the mountain. We got pretty darned close but Cathy called it (can’t fault her on this one) after the trail began bushwhacking through head-high thimbleberry bushes mixed with various prickly things.

So we turned back, had lunch in the hot (yummy!) sun at the flagpole and then hiked back down.

In less than two hours Simon and I will be sitting across from a realtor drawing up an offer to buy the acreage at Silverton.

Yes, we are out of our minds.

At this point, it’s a question of “What the hell! Let’s jump in off the deep end and see if we can swim.”P1000393_Fotor P1000395_Fotor
