We decided this morning that we’ve really had enough rain. Unfortunately, the weather gods either weren’t appraised of our decision or they were and chose to ignore it. Clearly, we don’t have a lot of pull with rain and sun deities.
It rained today. (Surprise!) But I’d planned for it. I spent most of the morning walking up and down the hill that contains the laundromat. Three loads later and I think I did more elevation than all of yesterday – or close to it.
Then we shopped. It seems we are always shopping and that’s a monster departure for me. I’m not a shopper! I may have to amend that statement. The evidence shows its lack of veracity.
We bought a new mattress protector and then food. We are always buying food for us and/or the dogs. Man, this eating stuff just sucks. Requires constant trips to the store.
However, the grocery shopping did result in Simon making gorgeous sandwiches for lunch! Great news – he also contacted various city people: busking is happening on Saturday. Powell River doesn’t even have a license fee. So cool.
So – no hiking Saturday (a short morning one for me) – but a big hike planned for Sunday.
Life is pretty good.
The SIGmobile is feeling more and more like home.
