Things are falling together beautifully to make all our future plans come true. It’s almost time to start looking at RVs to take us on our grand summer adventure.
And that means that it’s soon going to be time to start writing my next book. Good. I’ve had three or four days of almost-idling – that’s three or four too many.
By idling I mean doing laundry, editing, getting ready for my first writer’s circle meeting on Tuesday and generally getting stuff done. Next on the agenda is trimming Abby’s nails – what a thrilling life I lead. (Actually – I do!)
I think it’s going to be a quiet night, early to bed and a good, stiff hike up Mount Benson’s outer route tomorrow.
Simon is reading my chapter two – and I’m no longer nervous about it. It’s okay. This is a good process. He’ll make useful. terrific suggestions to improve the book. The writer’s circle – ditto. Before we leave this summer, I’ll be sending the manuscript to the publisher.
Life is, quite simply, awesome.
The best part of this life is being totally, head over heels, forever in love with the best man on earth.
