Home and Dry (finally)

This is (of course) my favourite photo.

‘Nuff said.

So, as I mentioned, we hiked in a monsoon downpour on Saturday. The fact that we hiked at all is remarkable – but in sheets of rain – oh well, it’s the west coast right?

So today, after a lovely night of sleep (mostly) and a gorgeous super breakfast, I beetled up to Nanaimo to meet Julie for a hike. The rains began. We met at Cable Bay. We hiked – torrents of rain gushed down. The trail was a river. We met two people coming back to the car park. They stopped. Stared at us. “We really didn’t think we’d meet anyone going DOWN the trail,” they said.

Yeah, – oh well. I never claimed to be smart.

But I am princess – see photo below to prove how true that is.

And I have found my prince.

How lucky can a princess get?
