The Estuary

I know it’s Friday, and I officially don’t work on Fridays, but today, given how delinquent I was the rest of the week, I thought I’d better make an exception. So I wrote a mighty large feature, finished by 10.30, and had a nap! A half hour nap! In the middle of the morning! How did I get so tired?

Oh. Wait. I think I remember how that happened.

The good news is that I woke up, got to the Garage for lunch (always so good) and then drove Alisa to Victoria, which was a small adventure in itself. I had a sneaking suspicion that I should have dropped bread crumbs along the way to find the route back. As it is, I only had to stop to ask directions twice, twice because the first gas station told me to go the wrong way.

Anyway, I did not get lost finding the Cowichan River estuary where Simon and I met up for a beautiful walk. What a pretty place. The dogs loved it! We all loved it! It was warm and delightful and now, I’m just enjoying sitting here in his home, at the kitchen table, listening to him practice for tonight. There is nowhere else I would rather be. This is pretty close to heaven.

Sooooo looking forward to tonight.

And, in the meantime – some photos from our walk. Guess which photo is my favourite?
