rain and cold

I will work very hard at posting some new photos very soon – like tomorrow. But they won’t be photos of Phillips Ridge, as I would have hoped – but rather Mount Cokely and environs.

I’ve been eyeing the weather on the ridge very closely since yesterday – and it has been deteriorating rapidly: rain and very cold – even a possibility of wet snow. Not (really  not) camping weather.

And so, as with Kings Peak last weekend, a change of plans. It happens. I refuse to bemoan it. Instead, I shall  move on and plan other fun expeditions. The weather for Cokely tomorrow seems wonderful and so that will be our destination. On Saturday, I will tentatively plan something in Strathcona – perhaps Cruickshank Canyon, which a flat tire pre-empted a couple of weeks ago.

I assume that all of these things are being sent my way to test how quickly I can rebound in a positive manner and change things up satisfactorily.

Well – I can do it and I can do it happily – so there!

It’s going to be a great weekend! Stay tuned!
