I don’t have much to report except for another lovely day hiking instead of working. It’s amazing how good that feels! Imagine, not working on a Monday! I could get used to this.
So it was hot – much hotter than I expected. But it was lovely and fun with wonderful company. I suppose the most exciting thing about today wasn’t really the hike, but the conversations while hiking. The simple little idea we tossed around on Friday while hiking Mount Drabble has turned into a full-fledged plan: we are going to Italy next year to hike the Dolomites!
It’s time for me to do some serious research – and this is the kind of research I love!
Decisions have also been made for hiking this coming weekend and I think it’s going to be a ton of fun!
Life is brilliant. Oh – I may be getting a donkey. That too was a casual conversation. How can I resist? If I get a donkey (which will do a great job of eating all the weeds in the back 40) I have a title for a book: Dogs, Ducks and Donkeys. That doesn’t mean I have the faintest idea of what I’ll write, but I like the title – so really, what more do I need?
