New Zealand?

P1060117_FotorI did some research today: New Zealand – three or, preferable, four of the great walks. That’s what I want to do – – and I want to do it soon. Like, right about now or, if not this very day, perhaps in January or February. I need to do more research – a lot more. I feel it coming on. It has to happen soon. It has moved near the top of my list, if not to the very top.

And the High Sierras. And the Wonderland trail around Mount Rainier and a week in Whistler and then, more of the Dolomites and the Slovenian Alps.

There – whew! Time to get cracking.

And speaking of cracking, I think I am pretty much caught up on everything I need to do around here. Teh garden is caught up. I shopped at the farmer’s market today. I have food. I walked a lot with Abby. We picked more blackberries, this time with clippers. That said, I still think it would be a bit of a plan to stop picking blackberries, particularly those surrounded by stinging nettles, in shorts and tank top. Can you say, ouch?

But so very worth it.

My breakfast this morning consisted of Muesli with creamy yogurt from Tree Island Farms with apricots, peaches, a banana and blackberries. More of the same tomorrow. This is so good, it should really be called dessert.

Tomorrow – up at 4.30 to get an early start. It’s going to be Crest Mountain in Strathcona. It seems too long since I have been hiking. What has it been? Four days? Too long.

I sense a feeling of peace flooding over me. Life is getting more and more exciting. The possibilities, as I work less and play more, are expanding. Joy. Bliss. All good words. All right there for the taking.
