Fine by me.
So a lot of really nice little things happened today. My collards and peas have sprouted. The sun came out this afternoon, after a cloudy morning – and just in time for my walk with Abby. The wild roses are blooming – I stuck my nose in them over and over. It’s one of headiest scents I know and makes me dizzy with joy. The yellow flag irises are flowering massively in the beaver pond. I have my work portfolio (there’s a good word for it) organized and I made great headway today with the shellfish project. I have been informed of a new hiking route that I am extremely eager to take – and I have the promise of someone to guide us there.
I could think of lots of other things.
But I think that’s a pretty good list for now.
I believe that as long as these “little things” keep bringing me joy, my life is going to continue to be magical. I do so want to always see the magic in every day.
Dinner tonight: fresh local asparagus with leek fried potatoes. What more could I ask for?
