Mount Maxwell

Today is just one of those days when it’s best to let the photos speak for themselves.

I can’t imagine how this day could have been made more perfect. First we had a wonderful group of people (and dogs). Then there was the warm spring sunshine. The ferry ride, churning slowly across the water, made the entire expedition feel like a summer holiday.

It took us five minutes of hiking to de-layer and get down to T-shirts. The garry oaks were in brilliant green leaf. We explored. We gasped in pleasure over the views. We sat in the meadow in the sunshine for lunch and were reluctant to get back on the trail.

In other words – it could not have been better.

And now I get to do it all over again tomorrow, albeit a much more strenuous trail. Still, I am breaking out the shorts tomorrow!P1040525_Fotor P1040530_Fotor P1040537_Fotor P1040538_Fotor P1040539_Fotor P1040545_Fotor P1040546_Fotor P1040551_Fotor P1040555_Fotor P1040558_Fotor P1040561_Fotor P1040564_Fotor P1040565_Fotor P1040566_Fotor P1040567_Fotor P1040569_Fotor P1040570_Fotor
