First, by success, I really do mean success. After getting my work done this morning, Abby and I dashed out, stopped at the MC trail for a quick walk and managed to get up to Staples with my wallet. That was a major coup!
And I got a screen guard that had not been previously ripped from the packaging and damaged. And I managed to get a case that actually had a design that works.
That said, I have to say that none of the iPad 2 case designs are stellar. Even the Apple cases do not account for someone wanting to upload photos. Really? You expect people to constantly be taking their iPad out of the case? And, in all cases, getting the iPad into it is a total pain. Honestly, in this day, I truly would expect better design.
All the cases look and feel like someone decided to see how they could best slap something together at a cost on a nickel or less. Not good.
However, I have something that will protect the iPad – and that will do.
And then I got home to a bursting inbox with assignments. What is going on? This has been happening for a couple of months now – and, of course, it’s a good thing. The newspaper is doing great obviously. I passed some assignments on to Beth, my protegé – and I will be passing on more. That is clear. But it’s good. – very good. By the time I leave on vacation, she will be well versed in our procedures and more. And when I come back, we will be able to share the assignments pretty evenly.
It’s all working out well.
And I am about to post events for this weekend’s hiking. It’s going to be an amazing four days!
