The whole idea today, was to start this post off by saying how proud I was to get more weeding done in the blueberry patch – to report that I was two-thirds of the way through. But then it started spitting rain just as I got back with Abby from my afternoon walk and I thought, “No one can be expected to week in the pouring rain.”
Well, admittedly, it was not exactly pouring. And braver (less lazy) souls than me would have gone out and done it. I did not. And I do NOT feel guilty. (well, a tiny bit maybe). On the other hand, it’s jolly good I got myself back behind my computer because, geez, it’s been a crazy busy day and I still have work to do.
It isn’t going to ease up until Thursday. Poor me – having to work from home and only two time outs with the dog and one for lunch. Such a rough life I lead.
Planning is already underway for the Easter weekend. If the weather is even halfway decent, it looks like a hike up Mount Moriarty is in order. Exciting! Another new one for me. I am actually toying with the idea of Landslide Lake this weekend. I know I have said I would not do it again because of the lack of elevation gain – but still, it won’t have any snow, it is in Strathcona and it does get me out for nine plus hours. The only deterrent is that 6 hour drive. But still – worth considering.
