It’s been a day of almost overwhelming amounts of work, plus unexpected requests (that I had to say no to) and difficulties in getting hold of people to schedule interviews – plus new assignments to slot in (next week, thank goodness). All in all, it’s been the kind of Monday people dread.
But it’s winding down now and I manged to get done what needed to be done. Whew!
It’s this kind of day that makes me really look forward to getting my work week down to three days.
How about that? No more Mondays at work – just Tuesdays. But that’s still in the future. Meanwhile, I will do well to be extremely grateful for what I have: four days of work doing what I enjoy! I must not lose sight of that – although losing sight can sometimes be all too easy to do.
I managed to fit in a walk with Abby in the glorious early spring sunshine. I’m excited about hikes this weekend may have in store. Already it’s time to begin planning. The weekend looks like it will produce yet more glorious sunshine and warm temperatures. Maybe another visit to Strathcona? Maybe Minnas Ridge? Maybe Benson? We shall see. I think I will begin officially planning tomorrow.
For the rest of the day, I just want to put my feet up and be glad it’s done.
