Let’s start with the positive: it was a beautiful warm day and walking the Cowpath was a pleasure. And that was (get set for the negative) despite the fact that a very large part of the path had been pretty much obliterated by huge deadfalls. We suspected it was the flooding a few months back that caused such a massive number of old trees to topple. We hiked around them (bushwhackeed), over them (climbed) and crawled under them. And we thought we weren’t going to get a real workout today! Ha, again!

Despite that we did it in record time: just under 6 hours.

And it was beautiful. The company was fine, the dogs had a blast and, let’s face it, we spent the majority of the day outdoors. What could possibly be wrong with that?

I feel well primed to do the big hike tomorrow.P1030744 P1030745 P1030748 P1030749 P1030750 P1030751 P1030752
