Yes, I did more than set up a tent and blow up a mattress yesterday – I did take Abby to Jack Point in the morning.
And. just like yesterday, today was another beautiful day – and it’s turning out to be a busy one. The assignments just keep pouring in; in fact, I have just said no to the last one. I’m getting better at this “no” business.
Already, I am planning the hikes for the coming weekend: the long-range forecast is fantastic! Sunshine, lollipops, fairies, marshmallows and pink fluff. It’s looking like the cowpath on Friday and Mount Cokely on Saturday – so a long hike and then a really big one.
Meanwhile, three nights ago the chorus of frogs began outside my window. It doesn’t matter that the daffodils are up and the crocuses are blooming. It’s when the frogs start singing me to sleep – that’s when I know that spring has truly arrived. And it has.
