I call it a semi-hiking Sunday because we only hiked in the morning – somewhat less than 3 hours. In other words, it was a nice walk with a couple of hills to get our heart rates up. It didn’t rain, even though it was supposed to, so once again, I count myself madly fortunate.
It was a good morning. What was even better was coming home to lunch and a nap. Honestly, sometimes, there is nothing better than the comforts of home – and that lovely feeling of falling into that warm, cotton-batten cloud of sleep in the afternoon.
Back to work tomorrow and crowding a lot into the next four days. My mind is completely decided about Switzerland now. I am not utterly decided about Whistler and don’t really have to make that choice for quite a while yet.
Meanwhile, the annual VPO sale starts next weekend, which means I will get completely geared up for overnight hikes.
Let the adventures continue!
