Mount Tzou

It was exactly the sort of day I needed: a day hiking outside in beautiful weather with wonderful views and good company.

The mist was heavy in the valleys when we started out – and that made for some beautiful photographs. The rest of the day just past in a completely unremarkable way: almost six hours of hiking; a lovely sit-down lunch in warm sunshine; a great hike back along the Tzou ridge – a lovely drive back home and all capped by a bubble bath.

I mean, really – what else is there to say? The pictures say it all.P1030216 P1030217 P1030218 P1030220 P1030224 P1030226 P1030229 P1030232

    Hi there goodyniosi!

I am a former Vancouver Islander (grew up in Duncan, then moved to Victoria for university) who has been living in Ontario for the past 15 years or so. I was just looking for a nice picture for my computer desktop and typed in “Vancouver Island scenery” and somehow found my way to your blog. You have beautiful photos. I grew up on Quamichan Lake and have been on many of the hikes I see you writing about. I hope you don’t mind my borrowing the odd shot to put on my computer for a daily dose of home! Enjoyed reading a few entries here as well – great writing!
