It was one of those mornings when it was imperative to tuck my camera into my pocket. The mist was rising over the pond and fields; the air was crisp with enough dampness to make it mild and to load the tree branches with droplets of dew.
And, of course, today was 2 seconds longer than yesterday. In my mind, that means that spring has almost begun.
For me today was the start of an almost two-week holiday. I worked sporadically and minimally today, just gathering photos in order to send stories in and do some invoicing: that was it. My work is done until a week from today, which I suspect will be my only day of work next week. I feel free and happy and delighted by these circumstances.
I love knowing that there is absolutely nothing I have to do for the next week that I don’t really want to do.
I had lunch with Joanne downtown and bought lots more chocolate, most to give as gifts. Cherub Chocolate just happens to have the best chocolate anywhere in this town.
Julie and the boys gave me the best gift ever: a gift certificate to Kiyo Salon for a neck and shoulder massage – never have I wanted or needed anything more! Can hardly wait!
