I just put to bed my last story. That means I am almost done for a week. I have only a few loose ends to tie up on Monday – three stories that need photos, invoicing to do (yay) and one story to set up for the following week.
None of this is a hardship – in fact, none of this even feels like work.
Heck, most of today didnt’ feel like work either. I completed a big story this morning, then Paul picked me up and we went shopping. I am very, very good at helping other people spend money – and Paul spent a lot. We had lunch, we giggled – I had a super time. Then, back to catch up on work related emails, do one last small story – and kapow! That’s it!
I have pea soup simmering on the stove; I have clean laundry put away. Best of all, I have plans for snowshoeing at Mount Washington tomorrow and hiking on Sunday. Heck, I even have a night hike scheduled for Christmas Eve – and you know what? That seems like a very fine way to spend Christmas Eve.
