P1020661Yup – I’m done. It feels like it has been a very long day. And it’s pouring rain out – my tiredness and the relentless rain has made my decision clear that I am not attending the annual Christmas affair for the company tonight – if it was in town, maybe. But I am not driving to Parksville on a stormy night when one of my arms is still only at 50 – 60 percent.

So there. I remember taking a crazy risk once – given how that turned out, I am not doing it again. And I’m not talking about Becher. I’m talking about driving on bad roads, totalling my car and coming very close to doing myself permanent damage.

Older and wiser? Maybe.

At any rate, tomorrow is Friday. This week is drifting to a close. Lots of work – lots more to come. Next week will be crazy, but at least that means it will go quickly.

Meanwhile the only big decisions I have to make are about hiking this weekend. Will I go to Minnas Ridge and do the alternate route with a pack of dogs? Or will I opt for two shorter hikes MapleĀ Mountain and the new one in Ladysmith? I am strongly leaning toward the shorter ones with Julie. It just feels better.

Oh yes – my arm. I have sporadically and haphazardly been doing some of the exercises the physio assigned. But given how much I hae structured exercise, it’s not going well. In fact, pretty rotten, I’d say. Meanwhile, just the way I am using my arm is showing improved range of motion.

I may or may not go back to the physio. Darn – all these decisions I have to make that I really don’t feel up to. At the very least, I can report that I have finished today with everything done that needed to get done.

End of story.
