stormy weather

P1020855This may be the next hike on Saturday – Minnas Ridge. And I think I will be able to handle it. There may be snow. We shall see.

Meanwhile, I woke up at about 5.30 this morning to a big bang – and then the power went out. I managed to doze for another 30 minutes. Then I phoned BC Hydro. The power didn’t come back until just after 1 p.m. A headlamp may be meant for camping and night hiking, but it was never more useful than it was in the early hours of this morning. Heck, who needs candles when you have a headlamp? It’s also very useful to have a gas oven to heat the place.

And – I got all my work done. Hurrah! In other words, it was a terrific day. And yes, that storm last night was completely awesome. Walking in the park today -lots of branches down and deep water to wade through in my gum boots.

As for the arm – incremental improvements. I’m curious to see what the physio has to say tomorrow.
