We did it! Even more exciting, I did it! and, according to Julie, I did it just as quickly as I would normally have done it.
No we, did not do the full Cameron Lake trail loop – Julie was more concerned bout slippery snow than I was, so we went as far as the picnic spot on McBey Creek before heading back – but dan, that was a good hike – all those switchbacks going up and coming back down.
And I only found two or three awkward spots where I needed a hand. Other than that, I zoomed away. No pain. I am so excited about my recovery and healing. If you look very closely at the first photo, you will see beads of moisture, – this was actually a tiny, moss waterfall that was completely enchanting.
It didn’t rain – its was beautiful. I am just completely delighted that we did this. Stopped on the way back at Island Natural where I bought lots and lots of good dark chocolate and a can of lentils for an easy, no-fuss dinner tonight.
Darn, life is good.
