We hiked up Mount Prevost last night well after dark. It wasn’t challenging – or, at least, would not have been if I had two arms. Happily, I had two wonderful men looking out for me and I felt confident and safe.
Not challenging, maybe – but huge fun, simply because the people in this hiking group are wonderful. Beyond wonderful – they are completely awesome!
So that capped off a pretty good day. Today was a whole other kettle of guppies. First the hospital and I am thrilled to say that I have an excellent prognosis. One more week of sleeping sitting up. Already I can take my arm out of the sling now and then – we don’t want it stiffening up. In two weeks I get more x-rays and three or four weeks later I should be fully healed. I may need physio. We’ll see – I can probably work it on my own.
And the day continued to unfold – a computer problem happily solved by Apple support and then a huge mess of work from all sorts of sources that will keep me going right into the middle of next month.
Whew! Almost 5 and an interview to do still with a banking CEO – the hilarity just never stops.
Feeling achy but fortunate in spite of everything.
