Yet More Rain

10502353_10153266862647501_920479528796609470_nSo there we are (me with the blue backpack) slipping and sliding back down Mount Arrowsmith last week after attaining the summit.

I am so hoping that tomorrow will not be a repeat. In other words, praying that it doesn’t rain. Although, I swear I have never seen a wetter October. It was pouring this morning as I walked with Abby out to Jack Point. It poured this afternoon when I took her for a quick 30-minute jaunt on the MC trail. It is pouring now. Only the ducks seem really happy. I have never seen their feathers look whiter or sleeker.

I promised myself a lazy day today and I’ve really had little choice in the matter. Still, I’m feeling good – really good. I picked up a new client yesterday – meeting with him at his place of business on Tuesday. Looking forward to new challenges. Feeling pretty good about my candidate for mayor too. Good things are happening, not least of which is an enormous pot of pea soup on the stove. Yes, it’s soup time! And an enormous pot also means I won’t have to cook after hiking tomorrow. That has to be a good thing.
