Wesley Ridge Traverse

Because it’s quite late, this will be a very short post. It’s late because today was an 8-hour hike (a few minutes short of) and it was quite tremendous. Those  hours included a side hike to a secondary peak as well as at least 20 or 30 minutes spent wandering around a rock bluff wondering where the heck the trail was. We were just incredibly fortunate to spot a hiking group making their way toward us looking equally lost.

A large part of the traverse is bushwacking. Luckily we were able to guide them along the way we had come and they pointed out our route to us in the other direction. We had angels with us the entire way.

The best thing about this hike? My body right now feels so strong, so healthy – so dar fit! We did very steep stuff today. I would call it strenuous. And I don’t think I have every felt better. Oh yes – and Abby is sleeping very, very peacefully in her bed. Out like a light!

Oh – and I must mention the weather: glorious! A lunch in the sunshine with a beautiful view – and warmth and sun and more sun! Pur heaven!P1010521 P1010522 P1010533
