Excited

I’ve always said that it doesn’t take much to get me excited. Today I have the proof!

Excitement #1: I got my windows cleaned! For the first time in two years! OMG! I can actually see out my windows. This is so exciting. And lest you think, “Huh?” , let me explain: I live above the stable with horses pounding around in the field. The dust that flies up is truly horrendous. After two years, cleaning the windows is a major revelation! And because we had to pull out furniture etc., I also got to clean corners, floors and other hard-to reach dusty places. I am truly excited!

Excitement number 2! I have a confirmed reservations at the Hotel Alpina in Murren, where I stayed last year – and loved! I adore Roger (AKA 007) who runs the place. And he remembered me! Well, I suppose he must: I doubt that anyone else has persistently called him 007. But really, his name is Roger and we are located right where one of those movies was filmed. So there!

Excitement number 3: I have a reservation at Hotel Sonnenberg in Grindlewald. This is the nicest, most quintessentially Swiss pension ever! And it’s the same place I used to say 30 some years ago – and (get this!) still run by the same family!

Excitement number 4 through 15: the sun is shining, the door is open, the ducks are happy and co-mingling beautifully with their wild brothers and sisters, summer is here; my work got done beautifully today, and, best of all, I don’t have a care in the world.

OMG! I am so blessed!
