That said, I’m ready for it to stop: NOW!
And I have to say that as pleased as I am by Canada’s performance in the Olympics, especially how we ended with double Golds in Curling and Hockey, I am, as always, sad to see them end. I wish this kind of camaraderie and goodwill could exist always. And if we got governments and warlords and capitalism out of the way, I suspect we really could achieve universal brotherhood.
I am not naive. But I am hopeful. And I do believe that love is greater than fear. All we have to do is wake up.
And I think we are. Slowly, maybe. We’re probably pushing the snooze button too much. But it will happen. I feel the great body of humanity stretching and walking up – and when that happens, it’s going to be a mighty and beautiful revolution.
