So sad that the Olympics are almost over. But then again – given how Vancouver 2010 feels like yesterday, I suppose I can assume that the next Olympic games start tomorrow (almost).
I’m hugely proud of how well Canada has done – and we’re not even done yet. I fully expect the men to win hockey gold tomorrow. Makes me proud to be a Canadian – ashamed of my government, but proud of my country. (as the saying goes.)
I’m also pleased with Germany’s results – after all I was born there so it’s my country too.
And now I am going to relish the mounting feeling of excitement inside me. This happens to me now and then: I get a strong sense that something wonderful is about to happen – something unspeakably fantastic! I have no idea whether it will happen directly to me or to someone else; I don’t know where – but I do know that it’s immanent and it’s quite fabulous! As far as I’m concerned, this feeling can go on forever – I won’t stop it.
Today it feels like we have reached the tipping point – but not the one we all fear: this is the tipping point toward a beautiful change in the world. I can feel it – how about you?
