My Friday routine: Friday mornings are my usual time to do a quick house clean – and yes, I do mean quick. I drag out the vacuum while the laundry is doing and in-between writing and interviewing and I clean the bathroom and, if I have the time, give the place a fast dust. It all keeps the spiderwebs and dust bunnies at bay.
Today, after lunch and after writing my last feature of the day; after catching up on American Idol, the Olympics and writing two major features, I was about to take Abby for her afternoon walk when I realized, “Holy “S&^T! I forgot to clean the house!
I know it doesn’t sound like much, especially considering that in the last few weeks, I have forgotten where I put my keys, left my sunglasses and gloves in the car and once took Abby out without brining her leash. But really, forgetting something as fundamental as vacuuming?
One of two things: either I am getting old and senile, or the Olympics and America Idol have just been too pressing and urgent and my mind has been lost in the airwaves.
I’m going with the latter explanation.
