So today was a day dedicated to all the best laid plans going completely belly-up. It was supposed to be well-organized. A big feature to do this afternoon – a morning devoted to Olympic TV watching (and American Idol of course). And then the afternoon story got postponed and four more stories came down the pike with crazy deadlines – and they all had to wrap around the postponed story and the other stories I already had scheduled for later this week. Whew! And I’m still waiting to hear back on one more that has to be scheduled.
Oh well – it’s a jolly good thing I’ve done this before.
Still, I do wish sometimes that people wouldn’t postpone at the last minute. It’s not that I don’t appreciate a free afternoon in the middle of he week – and afternoon of walking in the park with my dog – it’s just that there’s a price I will be paying tomorrow and Friday and Monday – and likely even Tuesday.
But – not to complain – must never complain. Must remember that I love what I do.
(and I do)
