Oh my gosh!
Sitting here, listening to Stille Nacht sung by the Vienna Boys Choir – and a long playlist lined up of all my favourite (traditional) German Christmas carols. These are the carols I grew up with so, needless to say, they evoke wonderful emotions.
And that’s appropriate today. I don’t care whether or not I believe or anyone else does, this is a time of year when love overcomes skepticism and irony and and and… and so, as I was walking today, revelling in the sunshine that poked through the trees, I felt all sorts of blessed and love – it was as thought the earth itself was breathing love.
I also fully realized how truly blessed I really am – how incredibly grateful I am for all that I have – such abundance! I have an abundance of health, vigor, love, friendship, people and animals to love, comfort, warmth, enough food, shelter – but mostly, what I have are the things that are not tangible.
I have people to love – so many: my friends and family are my greatest blessings.
So, today could be all about just gushing – and why not?
I have arranged to meet my cousin in July – right off the plane. To underline that, I received my new passport in the mail today! A 10-year passport, and I intend to make sure that it sees a lot of use.
