This is my Christmas Even landscape – beautiful, especially considering what my brother is putting up with. He lives near Kingston and got his power restored this morning – after being without it since Saturday afternoon. Ouch. His friends in Toronto still don’t have power – so they’re on their way to his house for Christmas.
I’m happy that he gets to have a traditional Christmas after all – not one spent eating cornflakes with curdled milk huddled under blankets in front of the wood stove.
My Christmas will be completely non-traditional. And that’s fine because I’m terribly excited about going to see Philomena in an hour or so and then having dinner at Aladdin’s Cafe afterwards with my dear friends. Spending Christmas Eve with people I love – now what could be more traditional than that?
Have I ever mentioned that I am blessed?
