As you can see, the view from the top of Lone Tree Mountain was pretty this morning. In fast, the top of Lone Tree is one of the prettiest places in Nanaimo with its own little pond, tiny forest and expansive meadows. I’m surprised more people haven’t discovered this gorgeous place. It’s also a splendid place for a quick (two hours of less) hike. And you can go up the steep north side, as we did, and come back down the far more gentle south side.

I have plenty of time after getting back to stop at Home Sense, where I did not find what I wanted, and then The Bay, where I did (Ralph Lauren towels on sale!)

On another note, my first e-book should be up and ready for download very soon. Stay tuned!

Meanwhile: here are a few more photos from the Foothills:P1000293 P1000294 P1000295 P1000298 P1000299
