I picked her up in Parksville, we had lunch at Rawmba’s (yum!!!) and then I drove her to Victoria. Not surprisingly, we talked non-stop, about the things that matter.
I value those people in my life where I feel safe to be me – 100% me, not 99, but all the way. There aren’t many like that – Cathy is. As a result, by the time I got home, I felt uplifted, happier. Cathy makes a contribution to my life just be showing up and being who she is.
She is a big part of my support group. She is a force of nature. She is not perfect. I couldn’t love perfection. It would simply intimidate me. She has flaws and she owns them and they make her even more admirable and loveable.
I am so lucky to have her in my life.
So today is all about celebrating my friend.
