Minor accomplishments

Sometimes small achievements are every bit as good as large ones. Take today – I finally finished weeding the blueberries! And let me tell you, it feels fantastic! It took more than a week to get it done and I ended up taking out 17 (yes I counted) buckets of weeds. It is important to note that these are not your ordinary garden variety household buckets. These are industrial strength. The come up to the hight of my bum and they are proportionately wider too. These are gigantic size – nay, Yeti-size buckets! Three or these buckets fill a wheelbarrow. So there you have it! Done! The blueberry patch is now nice a peaty and springy and soft – just as it should be.

Oh yes, I also managed to get some work done – and watched The Voice – and walked Abby in the park – hence yet more photos of autumn. I love October light: it’s a photographer’s dream light – and, according to the weather forecast, soon to come to an end. Still, it’s the best October I can remember so I’m not about to complain.P1000199
