The plan today was to hike the Cowpath – but sometimes the best laid plans etc. So, instead, we hiked the Genoa Bay Bluffs and then a new trail up through the cliffs on the east side of Mount Tzouhalem. As far as I’m concerned, this was perfect because it’s an area I have wanted to explore. Well, it turns out that the scenery was fabulous – passing through elfin forest and then underneath (and through) spectacular rock formations. Teh trail even wound through a cave!
It was a perfect day! I hope some of these photos do the scenery justice – the views were as wonderful as the old arbutus trees and garry oaks meadows covered with moss.
