These past days have been crazy – how crazy you may ask?
Crazy enough that I have not blogged.
Crazy enough that I have only checked Facebook twice a day
Crazy enough that I missed The Daily Show at least once.
Crazy enough that I have only now – on a Saturday – caught up with American Idol.
In other words, it doesn’t get much crazier. But it was worth it. Who knew I’d love editing books? I mean, really, who knew? And I have loved every minute of it, even that sleepless night on Wednesday when I obsessed so much about the Oxford comma that I almost didn’t sleep at all.
I obsessed about commas again last night and made a few last tweaks to the manuscript this morning – and now it’s done. The thing about commas, more so that any other item of grammar, is that there are different rules for different types of publications – and in different countries! To comma or not to comma, that is the question.
But I’m done – and just in time for a long weekend. Oddly, I’m very tired. In amongst all the book editing, I had my own book to write and several features to write – and a Dropbox issue – ack!
I seems that I can receive in my Dropbox but when I drag and drop an item into it, the intended recipient can’t see it. A solution is still not in sight. And, quite frankly, I dont’ even care about solving the issue right now, I just want to not care about it. I think I may be well on my way to accomplishing that.
Today I declare a day of rest. Tomorrow I may get a tad more active. Monday a strenuous hike is on the agenda. I’m pretty sure I’ll be ready for it.
I turned down a four-week job in Costa Rica this morning – the entire month of March. Teh timing was off. What? The timing off for a month in the sun?
